What gets logged

The log covers launches and waitlist openings, service-area expansions, new airport pickups, freeway access, pauses and restarts, recalls, federal investigations, and new laws, permits or council votes. Plans for future service are logged as announcements so they are not mistaken for live service.

How entries are sourced

Each entry links to its source, and an entry backed only by a news report or a secondary summary says reported. Dates are when the event happened or was announced, not when it was logged. Background on recalls is on the safety page, and laws and permits are under rules by state and country. The full log is also part of the open dataset.
