What to know in Nashville

Nashville is the one city where the same Waymo can be booked two ways. The Waymo app opened to invited riders on Apr 7, 2026, and Axios Nashville reported the waitlist was dropped on Jun 25, 2026. Since Sep 9, 2026, Lyft riders in central Nashville can also be matched with a Waymo, with Lyft's Flexdrive running fleet services. Standard, Priority Pickup, Wait & Save and Extra Comfort requests can be matched at no additional cost.

Teen accounts set the city apart too. On Sep 22, 2026, Waymo made Nashville its second city for teen riders aged 13 to 17, using an account linked to a parent or guardian. Until then the feature was offered only in Metro Phoenix. The teen accounts guide explains how they work, and the Tennessee rules page covers the state law that allows driverless cars.
