Can I ride Apollo Go in Dubai?

Riding Apollo Go in Dubai

Apollo Go launched in Dubai with the Roads and Transport Authority. Baidu's Q1 2026 release says the Apollo Go app went live in March, and the commercial launch release is dated Apr 1, 2026. At launch the cars served select locations in Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah. No airport service, fare table, freeway use or age rule has been published for Dubai.

Dubai is unusual in having two ways to book. The Apollo Go app is the direct route, and since Aug 20, 2026 the same RT6 vehicles, in a fleet run by New Horizon, can be matched to Uber riders who request UberX, Uber Comfort or 'Autonomous'. An ordinary Uber request in the right area could bring an Apollo Go car even without picking the autonomous option, so check the vehicle details when your match appears.

WeRide covers the same two neighborhoods on Uber, has charged driverless fares there since Mar 31, 2026, and is matched through the 'Autonomous' option. With two driverless partners in one Uber market, Uber called Dubai the first multi-partner autonomous network globally. Apollo Go's other Gulf service, in Abu Dhabi, uses the AutoGo app instead. Globally, Baidu's Q2 2026 results counted 28 cities in Apollo Go's footprint.
