Riding Apollo Go in Abu Dhabi
Rides are booked under the AutoGo name, so the Apollo Go app used in mainland China or Dubai won't get you a car here, and the service isn't on Uber. KrASIA reported on Jan 19, 2026 that it was fully driverless and open to the public. Baidu hasn't confirmed those details itself.
Service starts on Yas Island. AutoGo and Apollo Go plan a phased expansion to Reem, Al Maryah and Saadiyat islands, without dates for any of them. Fares, airport pickups, freeway use and age rules haven't been published. If you're staying on Yas Island, download AutoGo before you need a ride.
WeRide is the other option in the city. It has run driverless on Uber since Nov 25, 2025 and now covers about half of Abu Dhabi's core areas, which makes it the easier pick for anyone who already has Uber. Apollo Go had reached 28 cities worldwide by Baidu's Q2 2026 release, and in Dubai it takes bookings through both its own app and Uber, unlike in Abu Dhabi.
