Atlanta under Georgia law

Waymo launched in Atlanta on the Uber app on Jun 24, 2025 with 65 sq mi at launch, including Downtown, Buckhead and Capitol View. Uber is still the only way to book it there. After a car got stuck in floodwater, service paused on May 20, 2026 and resumed on May 27, 2026, as reported by Atlanta News First.

TheNextWeb reported that Waymo will end Uber exclusivity in Atlanta and Austin and launch its own app there in Jan 2028, keeping the fleet on Uber through at least May 2028. Waymo's own pages do not confirm that.

May Mobility has run a pilot on Lyft in Midtown since Sep 10, 2025 with a standby operator, which makes it a safety-driver service. Zoox lists Atlanta as a testing city.

Airport

Hartsfield-Jackson is not on Waymo's airport list. Atlanta robotaxi trips do not go to the airport.
